GMC Canyon teased with Edition 1 options, launch date

GMC will unveil the next-gen Canyon truck next Thursday, August 11, 2022. To warm up the audience, the company has posted an image showing the front fascia of the upcoming AT4X Edition 1 spec.

You can discern split headlights and DRLs, a radiator grille with black air intakes and metallic grey sections. An earlier teaser pic showed the same truck at the top of a hill climb, emphasizing its impressive off-roading capabilities (prototypes were even tested in Moab).

Like the current-gen Canyon shown in the enclosed video, the new one will most likely be based on the same frame as the Colorado model. This implies the same or similar equipment as the latest ZR2 spec, including a 3-inch suspension lift, differential locks all around, improved approach and departure angles, underbody protection, 17-inch wheels with beadlock protection, and auxiliary lighting.
