Six-wheeled Volvo XC60 causes ripples at a show in Sweden

Few of us would ever remember Volvo when talking about 6x6 truck conversions, but apparently such a modification exists. Someone took a 1st-gen XC60 and turned it into a tri-axle pickup.

The bizarre creation made an entrance at the recent Stockholm Cruising event in Sweden. If the data we found on the Internet is current, then the project was carried out by Dalbo Fordonsteknik, a Swedish tuner whose portfolio is brimming with eccentric Volvo conversions. What we don’t know is whether that third axle is driven or there just for show.

In addition to the above, the truck now sports a light bar on the roof, blinds on the rear window, and five-spoke wheels that honestly look like a rather poor fit for a badass six-wheel truck. Then again, your mileage (or kilometrage, heh) may vary.
