Novitec reimagines Tesla Model Y in carbon fiber with 22-inch turbine rims

The status of Tesla as a premium vehicle brand is constantly disputed by critics pointing out cheap-ish trims, lack of ergonomics and comfort options and all kinds of quality control issues. But if you ever felt the need to retaliate against such an argument, consider telling them that even reputable aftermarket companies, like Novitec, tune these cars.
The German shop already has aero kits for the models S, 3 and X in its portfolio, but their latest work looks more gorgeous than ever. Included are a front splitter, side skirts, a rear diffuser and a fixed tailgate spoiler. The designers behind the project claim that the battery SUV can generate more downforce at higher accelerations with the kit on, transmitting more power to the asphalt.
There is also no ignoring a set of 22-inch Novitec NV 2 wheels with five slanted pairs of spokes. Like most of the tuner’s other wheel sets, it was co-designed with Vossen Wheels USA. There are 72 color options and two surface treatments (polished/brushed) to choose from.
Things stay stock in the electric powertrain department, but the Novitec-tuned Model Y still enjoys a roughly 7-percent increase in battery range, the company says. Apparently, the KW coilovers that bring the body of the SUV 40 millimeters (1.6 inches) closer to the ground help eliminate much of the drag and reduce rolling resistance. Nice!
