Cupra considering an expansion to North America

Cupra, a performance car sub-brand owned by Seat, has an ambitious goal on its roadmap: to enter the top-100 car brand list worldwide by 2030. To accomplish it, the company has been focusing its attention on six key growth vectors, including globalization. New Cupra City Garage showrooms are scheduled for opening in Berlin, Madrid, Manchester and Paris later this year. More importantly, however, the company plans to invade the North American market as well.

According to an official statement made by Cupra, the company is currently analyzing its opportunities and the potential consequences of such a decision, as well as talking to numerous potential customers in the USA.

The Spanish car brand enjoyed considerable sales growth last year, shipping over 150,000 new cars to owners – nearly twice as many as over the preceding year. The Cupra Formentor SUV (shown here) led the statistics with the most sold units.
