Video: Stock Dodge Viper morphs into the exotic Runge Veleno

U.S.-based company Runge Cars specializes in designing custom vehicles with original bodywork. Its latest project is called Veleno and utilizes a 2004 Dodge Viper SRT-10 platform. The video shows the entire creation process.

The team outfitted the muscle car with an all-new body and replaced the interior, too. It also implemented adjustable suspension. Nothing was mentioned with regard to the engine, so it probably stayed stock.

The founder of the company said he did not use any computer-based modeling software or design tools. He simply drew the outlines of a frame on a piece of wood and enlisted the assistance of his 15-year-old son to produce the frame.

Once done, the produced body panels by hand and attached them to the frame. The bodywork is polished, unpainted metal that can dazzle you in sunny weather.

He then made the seats lighter and reinstalled them in different positions. For the dashboard, he made some parts from scratch and modded the others beyond recognition.

The future of the car remains in the air. It is a one-off at this point, and we are getting the feeling that Runge Cars is waiting for pre-orders to come from interested customers to decide whether to continue.
