Ford designs an SUV EV sleek as a high-speed train

Ford plans to launch sales of a new three-row, fully electric crossover SUV in 2025, Carscoops reports with a reference to Doug Field, Ford CTO, who previewed the car during a recent presentation.

The presentation slide visualizes the acceleration performance of the EV in an original way: the three-row SUV is depicted inside the cabin of a superfast express. Ford calls the still-unnamed model ‘your personal bullet train’ and promises to minimize the drag to ensure top-end acceleration performance.

While the concept is still years away from production, some of the technical specs are already known. For one, it will come equipped with a lightweight next-gen battery rated at 560 km (348 miles) of range on a charge. Charging for 10 minutes will replenish 240 km (150 miles) worth of power.
