New Lexus GX reveals its behind along with premiere date

Lexus will show the next-generation GX SUV in the United States on June 8, 2023. Judging by the latest teaser pic – the most informative of all so far – it will take on a boxier appearance compared to the current generation.

The photo demonstrates the rear end and lets you throw a glimpse at the sides. You can see a nearly upright c-pillar, a taillight, a spoiler and an LED strip running across the entire tailgate.

Aside from that, the wheel arches seem accentuated with horizontal creases on the fenders. Combined with the teasers posted earlier, the overall impression is that of a considerably boxier, more aggressive exterior styling.

It is believed that the new Lexus GX will switch to the TNGA-F platform of the Toyota Land Cruiser and Lexus LX (see video). It could borrow its engine lineup from the Land Cruiser, too. However, considering that the launch is in the USA, maybe it will be based on the Toyota Tundra instead.
