BMW M2 gets three boost options and a body kit from G-Power

Despite its “borderline entry-level” status in the BMW vehicle lineup, the M2 coupe is nonetheless a highly capable sports car packing 460 PS (454 hp / 338 kW) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque. What’s even better, German tuner G-Power can take it further upmarket from there.

The company has just released three tuning packages for the model. The first one raises the output to 600 PS (592 hp / 441 kW) and 720 Nm (531 lb-ft). The next one throws a sports exhaust system with downpipes into the mix for 650 PS (641 hp / 478 kW) and 780 Nm (575 lb-ft of torque).

Last but not least, the most expensive option cranks up the power to 700 PS (690 hp / 515 kW) and the torque to 840 Nm (620 lb-ft) – that’s more than the stock BMW M8 sends to the asphalt.

G-Power suggests complementing the engine tune with a body kit that changes the way the front end of the car looks, toning down the controversial “grille nostrils”. A carbon-fiber wing and a matching diffuser appear at the back along with as many as four tailpipes.

These components should already be available for ordering, but the tuner continues working on the M2. A carbon-fiber hood cover is expected to appear on the list soon.
