Leapmotor T03 production ends in Poland not even a year in

Stellantis has ended the production of the all-electric Leapmotor T03 city microcar at its factory in Poland, shutting down the assembly line that it launched in June 2024.

No official reason has been provided for the discontinuation, although the company revealed it was actively looking for “other options.” A number of media in Europe seem to agree that Poland’s support for raising EU-wide tariffs on electric vehicles imported from China may have played a major role in this decision.

The government of China issued an advisory for all domestic automakers last fall, urging them against investing into any countries that would endorse anti-China trade sanctions.
