Chevy Suburban armors up for diplomats and enforcers
General Motors has designed a special version of its Chevrolet Suburban (see video) for diplomatic workers and law enforcement agencies.
Known as the shield, it comes equipped with concealed armor plates. The degree of protection isn’t specified. The company points out reinforced suspension and flashing beacons among standard features.
Things stay stock in the powertrain department. Both the 6.2-liter petrol V8 and the 3.0-liter diesel are available in the Shield spec.
