Mercedes EQE makes a fine luxury hearse for connoisseurs

Kuhlmann Cars, a German Mercedes conversion specialist providing all kinds of businesses with bespoke vehicles, has turned the electric EQE SUV into a rather striking and fashionable catafalque.

The team ended with a car resembling a stretched minivan, but with a shoe-like body, slanted roof and plenty of extra wheelbase. Only the front seats are available, because there is a particularly spacious coffin compartment in the back, complete with ambient lighting and pricey trimming materials. You can order a hearse like this one with solid side panels, tinted windows or even normal transparent glass – that’s your call. The examples shown in the video even have something like a floating roof, because apparently being dead doesn’t mean you can’t go in style.

Kuhlmann offers a similar conversion of the regular Mercedes E-Class, but the EV looks much smoother in comparison thanks to its low-drag bodywork.
