Mil-Spec releases a Hummer that costs U.S. $250,000

A while ago, car tuner Mil-Spec announced an exclusive series of 12 custom-built Hummer H1 vehicles bringing together original exterior design and the latest tech. The fifth one debuted today, so let’s have a closer look at it.

Compared to the stock Hummer H1, the Mil-Spec M1 005 sports LED lights, reinforced bumpers, blacked-out air vents, a set of Pro Comp Series wheels with 18-inch Toyo Open Country M/T tires and a textured polyurethane body in grey.

Flip open the hood cover, and you’ll see a custom 6.6-liter diesel engine based on the General Motors Duramax series. The power unit churns out respectable 500 hp (373 kW) and 1.356 Nm (1,000 lbft) of torque. To put things into perspective, the latest Hummer H1 Alpha series shipped with 300 hp (224 kW) and 705 Nm (502 lbft).

Aside from the torquey engine, the SUV gained heavy-duty Wilwood brakes, a two-speed transfer case, an on-demand AWD and enhanced portal axles / half-axles.

The interior of the luxed-up vehicle sports leather trimming on the doors and seats, new aluminum panels and a Momo Prototipo steering wheel. The feature list goes on and on, with the heated windshield, air conditioner, audio system and 12V charging ports being only a few highlights in a vehicle that costs a little under U.S. $250,000.
