The Xiangjie S9 is yet another electric sedan from Huawei

Xiangjie, a new brand co-founded between Huawei and BAIC, has patented an all-electric car called the S9. It is eventually expected to go on sale outside of China under a different badge: Stelato.

The Xiangjie/Stelato S9 is 5,160 mm long, 1,987 mm wide and 1,486 mm tall with 3,050 mm of wheelbase. It looks similar to the smaller Luxeed S7 saloon jointly produced by Huawei and Chery. Based on the images, the S9 also has an advanced semi-autonomous driving system with a LiDAR on the roof.

According to the certification data, the sedan will reach the market in RWD and AWD versions. The former will make do with a single motor rated at 309 PS (305 hp / 227 kW), while the latter will combine that motor with another one at the front axle making 215 PS (212 hp / 158 kW). Both motors have been designed in-house by Huawei, but the battery packs come from CATL. Their volume is not specified yet.

In earlier news, we learned that the Stelato S9 is slated to debut at the Beijing Auto Expo on April 25, 2024 and go on sale in June. Rumor has it the sedan will be priced from 300,000 to 500,000 Yuan ($41,700–69,600) when it reaches the market, and will eventually make it to Europe.
